Ipanema and Havaianas are both slipper brands from Brazil. These two brand of slippers were popular to the Philippines. Ranging from 700 php to not over 2500 php. Although it’s too expensive for a pair of slippers, Filipinos were still buying atleast one pair a year. They both offer variety of different colors and designs that will fit in each potential customers’ mood and personality. You can pair these two brands in any outfit you can put on and can wear in any occasion fabulously.

Havaianas has been the first love of every teenagers and young adults in the country. This has been the favorite brand of them. It’s light-weight and fits perfectly to our working feet. The price of it is not that expensive compared to Ipanema that’s why people mostly go for it. Ipanema on the other hand is heavy to wear while walking. Its design is minimal and more of a classy prints. The strap of Ipanema slippers’ were hard and cannot be fold unlike the strap of Havaianas slippers. But the life span of the Ipanema is way longer than Havaianas. Maybe the reason behind this is because of its strap. The durability of havs it is not designed for long walks specifically if you tend to bring it in your trekking which requires participants to wear a pair of slippers.

At the end of the day, I still choose Ipanema over these overrated Havainas. Its classy design and its durability makes it more favorable than the other brand. It’s okay to invest to a slipper than can last for a couple of years but ofcourse with proper care and proper cleaning.
