Either it is a Hollywood or a Local mainstream movies, we will sure like it if the story on the movies we watched really entertained us. Sometimes, there's a point that we couldn't get over on that movie and trying to memorise every lines from the movie. Admit it or not, even you know the ending of your favourite movie, you'll watch it over and over again.

Hello our dear readers! On this blog, Empire Philippines will countdown the TOP 15 ALL TIME FAVORITE MOVIES. This countdown will based on the most popular movies and the most highest grossing films of all time. Let's start the countdown.

TOP 15: 'Twilight' Movie Series (2008-2012)

You surely followed the story from the love triangle between Bella (Kristen Stewart), Edward (Robert Pattinson) and Jacob (Taylor Lautner) up to the wedding until Bella's death. The Twilight Movie Series won almost 80 awards and 50 nominations. The movie focused on a girl teenager that will do anything and risk everything for the vampire she loved. Edward leaves Bella after an attack that nearly claimed her life, and in her depression she falls into yet another paranormal relationship - this time with werewolf Jacob Black.. As a string of mysterious killings grips Seattle, Bella, whose high school graduation is fast approaching, is forced to choose between her love for vampire Edward and her friendship with werewolf Jacob. The Quileutes close in on expecting parents Edward and Bella, whose unborn child poses a threat to the Wolf Pack and the towns people of Forks. After the birth of Renesmee, the Cullens gather other vampire clans in order to protect the child from a false allegation that puts the family in front of the Volturi. The movie started in 2008 and ended it's prequel in 2012.

TOP 14: It Takes A Man and A Woman (2013)

The film follows the life of Miggy (John Lloyd Cruz) and Laida (Sarah Geronimo) after their break-up which occurred after the events in the second film. Miggy, is now in a relationship with Belle (Isabelle Daza) while Laida is now a fiercer woman after living in the United States. They try to co-exist in the same company while Laida tries to oppose Miggy's business decisions through a series of events which made them realize the real definition of true love. This movie won 4 awards and 10 nominations.

TOP 13: 'Back To The Future' Movie Series (1985-1990)

Of all the movies that focused about time travelling and adventure, this one is a sure hit. Marty McFly (Mihael J. Fox), a 17-year-old high school student, is accidentally sent 30 years into the past in a time-traveling DeLorean invented by his close friend, the maverick scientist Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd). After visiting 2015, Marty McFly must repeat his visit to 1955 to prevent disastrous changes to 1985...without interfering with his first trip. Enjoying a peaceable existence in 1885, Doctor Emmet Brown is about to be killed by Buford "Mad Dog" Tannen (Thomas Wilson). Marty McFly travels back in time to save his friend. Back To The Future when launched on 1985 played by the actor named Michael J. Fox became a popular movies during the 80's because of it's consistent movie plot. It was followed by Back To The Future II in 1989 and Back To The Future III in 1990. This movie won more than 2 Oscar awards and 40 more other awards and 68 nominations. The movie also predicted some of the gadgets that we are using today and the events that happened after 1990.

TOP 12: Praybeyt Benjamin (2011 and 2014)

One of Star Cinema's highest grossing film, Praybeyt Benjamin played by Vice Ganda become a hit in the Philippines because of it's unique story of what if a gay will join in a military and became a hero. The story of this movie is all about a gay that wants to prove himself on being brave by joining the Military. Then he met his friends and they're all not passed the training. But they became a hero from saving their leaders.

TOP 11: 'The Conjuring' 1 and 2 (2013 and 2016)

From the struggle of Ed Warren and Lorraine Warren (Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga) to identify the mystery behind a doll named Annabelle to preventing the evil plans of Valak against the Hodgson family, The Conjuring 1 and 2 so far are one of the most scariest films you'll ever watched. Additional to it's scary aura is it is based on a true to life events. So far, the movie won 1 award and 6 nominations.

TOP 10: Barcelona: A Love Untold (2016)

According to the people who watched the film last year, Barcelona: A Love Untold is the "Most Kilig Movie of 2016" played by Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo. This movie release on the cinemas nationwide on September 2016. The movie is about a young man (Elly) [Daniel Padilla], still trying to get over his past relationship, meets a young woman (Mia) [Kathryn Bernardo] in Barcelona trying to run away from her past.

TOP 9: Forrest Gump (1994)

One of the 1990's best movie played by Tom Hanks. It is a mix-emotion movie because you will laugh, cry and fall in love all at the same time. The story starts on a man named Forrest Gump, while not intelligent, has accidentally been present at many historic moments, but his true love, Jenny Curran, eludes him. The movie won 6 Oscars. Another 39 wins & 65 nominations.

TOP 8: Anak (2000)

The movie is made by Star Cinema dedicated to the Overseas Filipino Workers worldwide played by Vilma Santos, Claudine Barretto and Carlo Aquino. The main character is a Filipina Overseas Contract Worker, one of the many residents of the archipelago who is forced to leave her family and take a higher paying job in a more prosperous Asian country. While she is working her employer refuses to let her take a vacation, nor does he deliver her mail to her. She is unaware, therefore, that her husband has died. When she finally returns to the Philippines she is met with resentment and hatred by her children. The movie studies how she overcomes these feelings and rebuilds the relationship with her family. The movie won a 3 awards & 9 nominations.

TOP 7: 'Star Wars' Movie Series (1977-Now)

May the force be with you! From 1977 up until today, the Star Wars trilogy is the most successful Sci-Fi movie not only because they are still can get a popularity but also they have the ability to refresh some ideas that can help the movie to become more realistic and understandable. This movie won more a 50 Oscars, 100 more awards and 250 nominations so far.

TOP 6: 3 Idiots (2009)

3 Idiots is holding a record of "Most Popular Bollywood Movie" because it became popular in 10 different countries including United States, Russia and also in the Philippines. The film is all about the two friends are searching for their long lost companion. They revisit their college days and recall the memories of their friend who inspired them to think differently, even as the rest of the world called them "idiots". They won 25 awards & 13 nominations.

TOP 5: 'Harry Potter' Movie Series (2001-2011)

Have you witness the adventures of Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) from his membership to Gryffindor up to his deadly fight against Lord Voldemort? How about the developing love story of Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint) and Hermoine Granger (Emma Watson)? Do you feel like you are also inside the Hogwarts? Then if yes, you're totally a fan of this movie but no regrets because it is the best movie from the book made by J.K. Rowling. Winning a 110 Awards including Oscars is no joke

TOP 4: The Super Parental Guardians (2016)

Released in November 2016 by Star Cinema played by Vice Ganda and Coco Martin, this movie made a 600 Million Pesos total gross in cinemas all over the Philippines. The plot of this film is about after the murder of his friend, a young gay man accepts guardianship of her two kids while her brother tracks down her killer..

TOP 3: Pixels (2015)

What if the world will enter the World War III but the enemies are not other country but the characters from a classic video games? Grossing almost 700 Million Dollars worldwide, Pixels gained it's popularity because of its Action-Adventure-Comedy theme. The film starts when aliens misinterpret video feeds of classic arcade games as a declaration of war, they attack the Earth in the form of the video games. Adam Sandler, the main character that is the only way to win the battle.

TOP 2: Dekada '70 (2002)

What is the way of life during the 70's in the Philippines for the ordinary Filipinos? This movie will answer that question. Played by Vilma Santos and Christopher de Leon, witness how the middle-class Filipino family during the seventies struggles to survive in the era of dictatorship. Made by Star Cinema in 2002, this film won 16 awards and 10 nominations.

TOP 1: Titanic (1997)

Recorded as the most watched movie in the Philippines, most viewed in Netflix and Amazon and most dramatic film of all time. The Titanic movie made its success for its 850 Million Dollar movie gross worldwide. James Cameron the director of the film didn't expect that this movie will gained positive feedbacks. The movie is based on the ship named R.M.S. Titanic that was sank on April 15, 1912. The film also dealing about the two people named Jack Dawson (Leonardo di Caprio) and Rose Dewit Bukater (Kate Winslet) that fell in love to each other in the ill-fated R.M.S. Titanic. This movie won at least 11 Oscars, 110 other awards and 73 nominations.
