The First and Oldest TV Network in the World is Turning 90

NBC (National Broadcasting Company), the first and oldest television in the world is turning 90 years old in television industry and plans to take a look back at the past nine decades with The Paley Center Salutes NBC’s 90th Anniversary special.
Over the years, NBC has delivered a wide array of personalities, programs, news and sporting events. NBC is also the first television network to broadcast in color during the 60's.
Five-time Emmy Award winner Kelsey Grammer will serve as host of the NBC’s 90th Anniversary special.

Iconic shows to be showcased include Emmy-winning dramas such as “The West Wing,” and “ER” as well as Emmy-winning comedies “Cheers,” “The Cosby Show,” “Seinfeld,” “Frasier,” “Friends,” “The Office” and “30 Rock”
Other highlights will be memorable moments from "The Tonight Show," "America's Got Talent," "Today," "Meet the Press," Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In," "The Wiz Live!," "The Fresh Prince Of Bell-Air," "American Ninja Warrior," "Saturday Night Live" and many others! [if !supportLineBreakNewLine] [endif]Back in the history, NBC Network was launched on November 15, 1926 in the Comcast Building (former GE Building) at the Rockefeller Center in New York City founded by RCA (Radio Colors of America) under the leadership of David Sarnoff. On May 22, 1958, NBC Network under also by David Sarnoff launched the network in Color Broadcasting at the WRC-TV Channel 4 (which is their affiliate TV Station in Washington, D.C.). It was attended by the former US President Dwight D. Eisenhower. His speech was the first presidential speech recorded in color.

The Paley Center Salutes NBC's 90th Anniversary Special will be produced by Brad Lachman Productions in association with the Paley Center for Media. The executive producers are Maureen J. Reidy, Brad Lachman, and Diane Lewis. Bill Bracken will be the co-executive producer.
