Eunice Juntayas, 21, a Mass Communication graduate of San Pablo Colleges, is a weather reporter of Panahon.TV for 7 months now. A jolly and very positive young woman who actively inspires everyone through the words of God. She likes to sing, eat and travel. She also likes to help people in need especially homeless kids.
Being a weather reporter is not her first choice. She said that she applied to ABS CBN network and got hired but a sudden accident came and never got to attend her first day. “nung nangyari yung accident, sabi ko siguro may ibang plano si Lord para sakin”. She took that accident as a sign that the work she got is not meant for her and that there’s something much better coming her way. Being in this kind of field is not easy for Eunice, she said “mahirap siya kasi kami lahat yung gumagawa ng trabaho”. From writing the script to researching, it is all up in their hands. They were working in a small spaced room that can know everyone. “Para ulit akong nag-aral” shared when asked about how she struggled in her work. She said that she experienced being back to zero when it comes to doing things. “Alam mo naman lumaki ako na comfortable ako at well-loved and sheltered, so nung nagwork na ako ang daming adjustment” she said when asked about her adjustment from being a student to a reporter. She boldly told that she literally went home just to see her family because she misses them that much that she traveled back to Manila later that day. She eventually learned how to love being a reporter, “hindi siya madaling gustuhin kasi mahirap, pero as the day goes by, I learned to love my work kahit gaano kahirap [puyat] and the people that surrounds me”.
